How to Remove Negative Rank (NR) from GameTracker

This is a step-by-step guide to help you remove a negative rank (NR) from your GameTracker listing without paying for external services. Follow the instructions carefully to complete the process.

1. Remove the server with NR from GameTracker

The first step is to completely remove the server with a negative rank from your GameTracker listing. It is crucial that the server remains removed throughout the process.

2. Add a non-banned IP to GameTracker

• Find an IP that is not banned on GT.
• Add this IP as a new server on GameTracker.
• After adding it, claim the server by clicking the Claim option.

3. Create a DNS for the IP with NR

• Set up a custom DNS (using services like Cloudflare, Namecheap, or other DNS providers) pointing to the IP of the server with NR.

4. Link the DNS to the new server on GameTracker

• In the admin page of the newly created server on GameTracker, add the custom DNS in the IP field.

5. Fully shut down the new server

• Shut down the newly added server. Important Note:
  • Make sure the server has been active for at least 30 minutes before shutting it down.
  • If you shut it down within the first 10 minutes, it will show as UNNAMED on GT, and the process will fail.

6. Wait for the server to show as "Offline" on GameTracker

• After shutting down the server, check that it appears as Offline on GameTracker. This may take between 30 minutes and 3 hours.

7. Wait for GameTracker to detect the DNS

• GameTracker will automatically update the information and detect the DNS associated with the new server's IP.
• Once detected, you can update the server in the admin page to appear online.

8. Remove the created DNS

• After the server is online with the configured DNS, return to the admin page and remove the DNS from the server settings.
• Update the server on GameTracker to save the changes.

9. Final step: Negative rank is removed!

• After updating, GameTracker will show the original server’s IP with the new rank, free of penalties.
